Our Collections

We have been building our library, archival and artifact collections since the 1930s. Our collection includes Ukrainian schoolbooks, records from some prominent Ukrainian Canadians, and extensive textiles, as well as numerous other items. Click HERE to learn more.

The Gift Shop

The Museum's Gift Shop is a popular area for our guests to browse with its large variety of authentic Ukrainian clothing, giftware and books. Whether visitors are from far away or local residents, there is a gift, souvenir or personal item for everyone. Click HERE to learn more.

The Ukrainian Museum of Canada consists of two major departments, the Collections (containing our archives and artifacts) and the Library.

Archival and Artifact Collections

The artifact and archival collection of the Ukrainian Museum of Canada is very diverse.

Irreplaceable artifacts such as clothing, linens, tools, books, photographs, documents and other treasures were collected from the first, second and third waves of Ukrainian immigrants to Canada.

The library has a wide variety of books, in both Ukrainian and English. It also stores copies of newspapers, journals, and vertical files.

Donations of artifacts and printed material

Please contact the Museum to inquire about making a donation of an artifact or printed material for the collection or the Library. We would be pleased to discuss future donations to our collections with you. Along with artifacts, we welcome the story of the items and any photographs or documentation you may have in relation to its use. Please note that we do not purchase items for the collection.
